Port 6881 is the first in the default range (6881-6889) used by BitTorrent clients for peer-to-peer file transfer. BitTorrent uses this range for incoming connections from peers sharing the same file. Many ISPs and corporate networks block this port range to limit bandwidth consumption from P2P applications.
