Managed by DE-CIX Management GmbH and headquartered in Germany, it runs exchange fabrics in Frankfurt, New York, Mumbai, and other cities, interconnecting more than a thousand networks. Its Frankfurt location is historically one of the busiest peering points in the world. AS47541 underpins the exchange platform where member networks meet to swap traffic directly. As with other exchanges, its addresses belong to the peering platform itself rather than to the networks meeting on it.
