Port Overview
What is Port 1025?
Port 1025 is used by Microsoft Windows RPC services and sometimes by NFS (Network File System) in certain configurations. It is also commonly used as the first ephemeral port on older Windows systems. Exposure of this port can be exploited for remote procedure call attacks.
Security Considerations
Port 1025 (NFS / Windows RPC) is classified as medium risk. While this service is commonly exposed, consider using encrypted alternatives where available.
Recommendation: Keep the service updated. Monitor logs for unusual activity.
