Port Overview
What is Port 1935?
Port 1935 is the default port for Real-Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP), developed by Adobe for live video streaming. Streaming software like OBS Studio uses this port to push live streams to platforms like Twitch, YouTube Live, and Facebook Live. RTMP remains widely used for live streaming ingest despite being superseded by HLS/DASH for playback.
Security Considerations
