Port Overview
What is Port 2376?
Port 2376 is Docker's TLS-encrypted remote API port, providing secure remote management of Docker daemons. Docker Swarm and remote management tools use this port with mutual TLS authentication to securely control Docker hosts. Administrators should always use port 2376 instead of the unencrypted port 2375 for remote Docker access.
Security Considerations
Port 2376 (Docker (TLS)) is classified as medium risk. While this service is commonly exposed, consider using encrypted alternatives where available.
Recommendation: Keep the service updated. Monitor logs for unusual activity.
