Port Overview
What is Port 2377?
Port 2377 is used by Docker Swarm for cluster management communications between manager nodes. Docker Swarm is Docker's native container orchestration system, and manager nodes communicate on this port to maintain cluster state and schedule containers. This port should be accessible only between trusted Docker Swarm manager nodes.
Security Considerations
Port 2377 (Docker Swarm) is classified as medium risk. While this service is commonly exposed, consider using encrypted alternatives where available.
Recommendation: Keep the service updated. Monitor logs for unusual activity.
