Port Overview
What is Port 34567?
Widely used as a default HTTP web interface port on Chinese-manufactured IP cameras, DVR, and NVR systems from vendors like Dahua, Hikvision clones, and various OEM brands. Frequently found in internet scans due to poor default security configurations and default credentials.
Security Considerations
Port 34567 (CCTV / DVR HTTP) is classified as critical risk. This port should not be exposed to the public internet. The service transmits data without encryption, making it vulnerable to eavesdropping, credential theft, and man-in-the-middle attacks.
Recommendation: Block this port at the firewall. Use encrypted alternatives (SSH, SFTP, HTTPS) instead.
