TCP — Streaming & Media
Port Overview
What is Port 7070?
Port 7070 is used by RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) as an alternative port and historically by RealNetworks Real Server for streaming media. Some WebSocket and Ant Media Server deployments also use this port. Plex Media Server and other streaming services may use this port for HLS and DASH stream delivery.
Security Considerations
Port 7070 (RTSP / RealNetworks) is classified as low risk. This service uses encryption or has a minimal attack surface, making it relatively safe to expose.
Recommendation: Standard security practices apply. Keep software updated and monitor access.
