What is Port 8332?
Port 8332 is the default RPC (Remote Procedure Call) port for Bitcoin Core on the mainnet, allowing local applications and wallets to interact with a Bitcoin full node. Bitcoin Core's JSON-RPC API accepts calls on this port for querying blockchain data and broadcasting transactions. Exposing this port with weak credentials can allow unauthorized access to wallet functions.

Security Considerations
Port 8332 (Bitcoin RPC (Testnet)) is classified as critical risk. This port should not be exposed to the public internet. The service transmits data without encryption, making it vulnerable to eavesdropping, credential theft, and man-in-the-middle attacks.
Recommendation: Block this port at the firewall. Use encrypted alternatives (SSH, SFTP, HTTPS) instead.
