Port Overview
What is Port 3868?
Port 3868 is the standard port for the Diameter protocol, the successor to RADIUS used for authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) in telecommunications and 4G/LTE networks. Mobile network operators use Diameter for authentication of subscribers and policy control. It is a core protocol in the 3GPP standards for LTE/EPC network architecture.
